The story behind HabibeeZzz
HabibeeZzz was founded by two cousins who grew up with this honey on their table. Honey from our own family in Croatia, made the way it has been for generations. At one point, we decided: the Netherlands should be able to taste this too.
It started that simply. And it has remained that simple.
Our family in Virovitica
Our honey comes from a family beekeeping farm in Virovitica, a green region in the heart of Slavonia, Croatia. For generations, our family has worked there with respect for nature and the craft of beekeeping. No rush, no unnecessary processing. Only honey as the bee intended it.
We know the beekeepers personally. It's our own family. And that makes all the difference, because we know exactly how the honey is harvested, how the bees are cared for, and what does and does not end up in the jar.
A region that makes honey special
Virovitica is located in the Virovitica-Podravina region, one of the most biodiverse areas in Croatia. The region is officially recognized as a production area for Slavonian honey, with European geographical protection status.
The bees fly on acacia, linden, chestnut, hawthorn, and wild wildflowers. Croatia has almost twice as many plant species per square kilometer as Germany. You can taste that rich biodiversity in every jar. What the bees make there, a factory cannot replicate. We don't try to either. We harvest that honey with care, as pure as possible.
From the bee to your table
After harvesting, the honey is cold extracted. This is a traditional process where the honey is spun out of the combs without heating. This way, everything the bee has put into it remains completely intact. Then the honey is bottled, packaged, and brought directly to the Netherlands.
No intermediaries. No long supply chain. No anonymous product. We package every order ourselves and send it to your door with care.
What you taste is honey with a clear origin, a character you recognize, and a story that resonates with every spoonful. Exactly as honey should be.

We believe that real food needs no additives. No syrups. No processing. No compromises. Only pure honey, in its most natural form.
With HabibeeZzz, we want people to experience again what honey truly is. Not as a common sweetener, but as a full-fledged natural product with character, origin, and a story that goes back generations.

Our honey is raw harvested and cold extracted. Not pasteurized, not heated, not blended. What you find in the jar is exactly what the bees have made. This preserves the natural enzymes, flavor notes, and the character of the flowers completely.
Much of the honey you find in the supermarket is heated, filtered, and blended. That extends shelf life and reduces cost, but it also destroys what makes honey special. We deliberately choose the other path.
That requires more care with every harvest. But you taste the result immediately.
Our assortment
Every type of honey we offer reflects the nature of Virovitica. The light, delicate acacia honey has a mild taste and remains liquid for a long time. The linden honey has a fresh, floral note. The chestnut honey is fuller and more powerful, with a slightly bitter character. The wildflower honey and blossom honey capture the diversity of Croatian nature in one jar. And our Immunity Blend combines the power of several raw honeys into one potent mix.
Every variety is cold extracted, raw harvested, and without additives. Exactly as it should be.
