This is not ordinary honey. Dark, viscous, full of flavor — forest honey is for those who know what they want. Less sweet. More character. More depth.
Our forest honey is a so-called honeydew honey — which makes it fundamentally different from blossom honey. Instead of flower nectar, our bees collect honeydew: the sweet excretion of trees and wild plants in the dense forests around Virovitica, Croatia.
That explains everything: its deep, dark color. Its rich, viscous texture. Its full flavor with subtle notes of resin and caramel. And the higher mineral content that forest honey naturally has compared to lighter blossom honey. Cold extracted, unprocessed, exactly as the bees made it.

As our grandparents already knew
Honeydew honey has been valued for centuries as one of the most potent and nutritious types of honey. In Eastern European folk wisdom, it was traditionally used as a recovery food after illness or intense exertion — and as a supportive agent for overall vitality. Its higher mineral content and rich composition make forest honey the choice when you want more than just sweetness.
Crystallization — what you need to know
Forest honey crystallizes slower than blossom honey — a characteristic of honeydew honey. When crystallization occurs, the crystals can be slightly coarser, and the honey takes on a thicker, creamy texture. Consider it a sign of quality: it proves that your honey is pure and unprocessed. Place the jar in a bowl of warm water to gently melt it. Flavor and quality remain fully preserved.
